Franco’s doesn’t live here anymore.

In Riva, the pizza and antipasti joint we told you back in November was about take up residence at the former home of Franco’s Trattoria on Ridge Ave. in East Falls, begins serving tonight at 5 p.m. The restaurant, which is the brainchild of Strarr and Garces alum, Arthur Cavaliere and developer Mark Sherman, will serve the aforementioned pizzas and antipasti, as well as other Italian inspired dishes. The bar will feature wines and beers from around the world, including craft brews from Italy. The menu’s Italian specialties cover all the bases from cheese and salumi selections to charred octopus, and agrodolce pork ribs dishes. The pizzas range from basic Margherita and pepperoni to a wild mushroom pie with truffle fondue and egg, and a Burrata with garlic spinach and balsamic onions. There’s a even a breakfast pie with pancetta, eggs, potatoes and onions. Yum, sounds like the true breakfast of champions.
