This spring, when the colossal Revel casino opens on Atlantic City’s beachfront, it will boast three restaurants from Jose Garces. While there have been countless rumors circulating for years that he would one day clone his Philly flagship Amada, the Andalusian-styled tapas bar that set his career in its upward trajectory, to the East Coast gambling mecca, the Iron Chef confirmed it this morning.

And with it, he’s bringing along re-creations of Village Whiskey, his whiskey, cocktails, and American dishes concept; and Distrito Cantina, his homage to Mexico City’s lively street fare. According to a prepared statement, Revel will feature as many as a dozen other restaurants, three clubs, and more than 1,000 guest rooms.

The news comes on the heels of Garces’s Western expansion, which back in November saw the Village Whiskey–like Old Town Whiskey and a Garces Trading Company Coffee To-Go open at Scottsdale Arizona’s the Saguaro hotel and resort, where another Distrito Cantina is also slated to open soon. And then there’s still the unconfirmed report that Garces has a clone of his Basque wine bar Tinto in the works at a former Holiday Inn that was recently acquired by Saguaro parent Sydell in Palm Springs.
