Just a few short weeks ago Grub gave the lowdown on Feast of the Seven Fishes dinners some restaurants were offering this holiday season. Now Meritage is getting in on the fish feasting fun with its own seven fishes-inspired tasting menu. Chef Anne Coll has come up with a way to incorporate the Italian Christmas Eve tradition into a four course prix fixe dinner. And she’s offering it from December 21 through 23 for $39. It includes salt cod croquette with Meyer lemon emulsion; roasted oysters with dill Meyer lemon and Parmesan; fried smelts with petite salad and chili emulsion; and more.

Over at Matyson, Chef Ben Puchowitz is doing something very similar with the tasting menu he’s offering this week. But while co-opting the Italian holiday tradition, Puchowitz is transporting the fishy feast to the Pacific Rim. The five-course prix fixe menu is available from December 19 to 23 for $45. It includes raw Nantucket bay scallops with wakame, sesame, persimmon and fluke roll with pickled daikon, masago, yuzu creme fraiche; crispy ahi tuna, nori, spiced eggplant, tomato-ginger and soy; roasted king salmon, Dungeness crab fried rice, gochujang; and more.
