Talula’s Garden is one of the restaurants piloting the program.
The folks from Starr Restaurants checked in earlier to tell us that Talula’s Garden and newly opened Route 6 are both now composting all food and paper waste generated by their daily operations. It’s the first step in a company-wide greening effort that Starr plans to implement in 2012. Through a partnership with Organic Diversions LLC, an eco-friendly service and training program for the hospitality trade, all organic waste produced by Starr restaurants will be diverted from landfills and instead used to enrich the soil at area farms and gardens.
