The Chinatown outpost of Pho 75 is closed. So far it’s the only one of several area pho shops flying under that ubiquitous flag to call it quits. At locations in South Philly and the Northeast it’s business as usual, Meal Ticket reports. Adding to said reports, Insider has it that the shuttered soup spot will soon be replaced by Nan Zhou Hand Drawn Noodle House, which is relocating from its home at 927 Race Street.
Tangentially related, Benny Lai, owner of Vietnam and it’s West Philly offshoot, Vietnam Cafe, opened his long-awaited Grill Fish Cafe. If you haven’t already figured it out, the new restaurant specializes in seafood, with a regularly changing selection of grilled whole fish entrees, assorted grilled appetizers (octopus, shrimp, squid), meat dishes and more.
