Listen up last minute cupids, like it or not Valentine's Day is upon us. So if you havent gotten a plan together yet to sweep your sweetie of his or her feet, you run the risk of being one sad, lonely heart on whats supposed to be the most romantic of the Hallmark holidays. Russet, the new farm-focused BYOB we told you that chefs (and spouses) Andrew and Kristin Wood are opening Tuesday, is still accepting reservations. A few blocks away, Matyson is doing a special aphrodisiac tasting menu with foie gras, diver scallops, truffled-up beef tenderloin and more for $45 per person. And if you cant get in tomorrow night, Chef Ben Puchowitz is running the prix fixe menu all the way through Thursday.
Newly opened Jamonera, the so-called sexier older sister to Barbuzzo, is offering a $65 prix fixe dinner with five courses. Farmers Cabinet says that they too are still accepting reservations for their four course, $55 per person prix fixe.
For something thats a little less fussy, Jennifer Zavala (Top Chefs other Jen) hosts Eat Your Heart Out at Teris with pastry chef Christina Clark. The $40 four course feast will feature blood sausage, smoked chicken enchiladas, a house-ground brisket, short rib and rib-eye burger and more.
And if all else fails, the good folks at Franklin Mortgage & Investment Co. will fix you up with one of its special Valentines-themed cocktails like Hazards of Love, The Pathology of Devotion, or Halfway to a Three Ways to Lose Your Lover.
