You May Want to Think Twice Before Naming Your Restaurant ‘Local Café,’ Or Similar

The East Bay Express has an important bit of advice for prospective restaurateurs this week: Make sure the name of your restaurant is unique enough to get recognized by Google. To their point, something like State Bird Provisions, while a mouthful, is a whole lot more likely to pop to the top of your Google search than, say, The Corner. Their East Bay examples of poor name choices include Best Burritos, FIVE, Local Café, and a bar that long pre-dates the advent of the internet, and Google: The Alley. [EBX]
