Remember all those cool classic rock and metal inspired cocktails that we’ve told you the Franklin Mortgage’s Colin Shearn has been mixing up over the last year? Well, it’s looking like Esquire just started tuning in. The magazine this week puts forth Shearn’s Always Crashing the Same Car as its “Cocktail of the Week.” The drink is Shearn’s riff on the Bentley, which is equal parts Calvados and Dubonnet. His interpretation swaps out the Calvados for Laird’s, and the Dubonnet with Bonal. He finishes it with Green Chartreuse and bitters. The name, of course, comes from the song of the same name on David Bowie’s Low, and for those keeping score at home, you can peep the recipe here. [Esquire]
