It seems as if ramen will finally have its moment in Philly this spring. Recently opened Ramen Boy, still-in-soft-mode Nom Nom Ramen, and the promise of Stephen Simons and Dave Franks Royal Izakaya & Sushi opening before summer starts, are clearly filling a void in our dining landscape. And now it looks like Ben Puchowitz and Shawn Darragh are pushing forward with their noodley concept formerly known as Roundeye Noodle Bar. Their next pop up is planned for April 1. Darragh checked in with Grub to deliver some details and note the name change. Due to friction caused by the moniker it launched with, Darragh said he and Puchowitz have come up with a new title, Cheu Noodle Bar.
And for the April 1 pop up, which again takes place at Matyson, theyre introducing a new selection of snacks on the menu, and have reformulated some of their soups broths. Cheu will begin accepting reservations on Saturday, March 31, at 10 a.m. Call (215) 564-2925 to make them. As before, its first call, first reserve. Seatings will be available for April 1, between 4:30 and 8:30 p.m. Check the full menu below.
