No doubt we’ve had our share of good yucks at the expense of forever-in-the-works Hop Sing Laundromat over the last year or so. Still, it’s becoming increasingly apparent that no matter what’s said, what’s written or what’s blogged, Lêe, the one-name-only Mr. Mysterioso behind the shadowy Chinatown speakeasy cocktail bar will always get the last laugh. And surely he’s having a hearty chuckle over this travel feature that the Advocate has up that focuses on where to go and what to eat in the City of Brotherly Love.

Interspersed with El Vez and Vetri as examples of places to chow down, the magazine implores readers to check out Hop Sing Laundromat for its “upscale bar with the most expensive well liquor selection of any craft cocktail bar in the United States.” While great for Lêe and the majority of Philadelphia, there’s just one small problem: Hop Sing Laundromat still isn’t open. And last anyone’s heard, it’s not opening anytime soon.
