It’s icky out today. So it’s quite timely that there are two pop-up options this evening that should do a good job of warming you up and helping you get through the rain. First off, Richie Nakano brings his Hapa Ramen magic to Wing Wings (422 Haight Street near Webster) tonight from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. The event is actually a preview of potential menu items for Hapa Ramen’s upcoming brick-and-mortar spot next door to State Bird Provisions at 1527 Fillmore Street, which will be called, simply, Hapa.

There’s still no firm date on that, and construction is just barely getting underway on the space, but stay tuned for more details in the coming weeks and months. Also, let us know of any intriguing new dishes that appear at the pop-up, should you be so inclined. All we know is that Nakano and co. have been playing around with charcoal-grilled pork jowl, and they recently had “a very real conversation about putting General Tso’s chicken in the ramen.”

Next, over in SoMa, Joanna Karlinsky is bringing her Sweet Jo’s pop-up back to The Window (1599 Howard Street at 12th), serving up her signature chili and biscuits, which is also perfect for the weather. She’ll be there from 5 to 9 p.m.
