Here we go again with the “taken out of context” card, but this time, it’s dipped in chocolate and dripping down a cone. Dorothy Scanlan, whose comments on Park Slope Parents were republished in a New York Post story, says that even though she once wrote: “Along with the first truly beautiful day of the year, my son and I had our first ruined day at the playground,” about an evil ice-cream stand that destroyed all good things, it’s not what she meant! And she is not alone in the Park Slope–parents-don’t-all-suck shit fit. [NYT]
