A study conducted by Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and the University of Wisconsin that weighs the state’s healthiest and least healthy counties has confirmed our worst fears: Philadelphia is the most unhealthiest community in the Keystone State. CBS Philly reports that the City of Brotherly Love is ranked 67 out of the state’s 67 counties. Ouch! But before you get all high mighty and start looking down on the Tastykakes- and cheesesteak-eating masses from atop your mound of kale chips and quinoa, factor in that gluttony and inactivity are only two pieces of the sickly puzzle. Seems things like high drop-out rates, violent crime, and childhood poverty are much bigger factors in the city’s unhealthiness. [CBS Philly]
