The trial of Donte Johnson, the 20-year-old man charged in the brutal rape and murder of P.Y.T. waitress Sabina Rose O’Donnell that rattled the Northern Liberties neighborhood and shook the entire restaurant community in June 2010, is set to begin this week. Though Johnson, who could face life in prison, previously confessed to police that he committed the crime, a hearing today will determine whether that confession can be used as evidence, the Inky reports. Jury selection will follow for what is expected to be a two-week trial. [Inquirer]
