“Odd Bits” is the name of an inspirational cookbook by the excellent Jennifer McLagan celebrating the variety of variety meats from our favorite edible animals. In a move we presume is not entirely coincidental, it is also the name that Frontier has given its new Monday night series of exotic meat treats, which launched last night. Each week Chef Brian Jupiter will cook up a special dish involving something unusual from the whole animals they get in-house, alongside seasonal vegetables. Last night it was veal heart ravioli; on May 14, buffalo fried pig tongues, on May 21, Jamaican jerked oxtail, and on May 28, bison marrow. To help you wash anything daunting down, there will also be $3 select whiskeys and bourbons, $3 select domestic drafts and half-off 22-ounce craft beer bottles to share.
