With food trucks, cupcakes, craft brews, Korean tacos, yarn bombing in progress and Philly Roller Girls, it seems as if last nights Night Market at Ninth Street and Washington Avenue embodied nearly every expression of contemporary urban living, all within the span of a few South Philly blocks. It was also the largest, and perhaps the greatest installment of the Food Trusts ongoing series of evening outings. The crowds were tremendously huge, but with ample elbow room everywhere, the scene never once felt crowded. Even the longest lines were kept moving a reasonable pace. Click through, check out our photos of what was on offer and what went down, and then let us know with a comment which ones pique your appetite.

Yards Brewing Company
Also stationed under the Food Trust's VIP tent were Yards Brewing Company, Art in the Age, and Farmers' Cabinet, who were pouring cocktails with Philadelphia Distilling Company's spirits.
Nomad rolled up with its mobile wood-fired pizza oven, and set up a pizzeria vibe with tables and chairs.
Smoke Truck's Mark Coates
He did his best to keep cool while prepping smoked meats in the sweltering temps.
Jose Garces's taco truck proved a big draw.
With temperatures in the nineties, hot coffee was not.
They rocked out with their wieners out, and steadily fed the ravenous masses eager to get a bite.
The crowds seemed to go on forever.
Save for the beer stands, this Night Market newcomer, which promises Korean BBQ with a twist, drew some of the biggest lines.
Sadly, this South Philadelphia institution, which was serving heavenly roast pork sandwiches topped with crispy pig skin directly across from Ka Chi, hardly had any line at all.
Another South Philly institution, Isgro's, was out representing.
Supper's Mitch and Jen Prensky debuted their new mobile, pop-up operation, which serves southern style smoked meats on fresh-baked biscuits.
Connie's Ric Rac
In addition to their outdoor bar, where the PBRs and cups of Paisano wine kept flowing, the Connies crew was whipping things up indoors with karaoke and booze.
Business Booms at the Bodega
Surrounding businesses not participating in Night Market saw a huge uptick in sales. Especially the ones that sell beer like this bodega at the corner of 9th and Washington.
