Belvedere Restaurant Group’s Rob Nyack touched base with Grub this afternoon to fill us in a little about what’s going on with their newly expanded and rehabbed Manayunk restaurant Agiato. You’ll recall the group first launched the restaurant back in late 2010 with Chef Joe Scarpone at the helm. He’s long since moved on to open his Bella Vista BYOB Ulivo. More recently the restaurant closed and underwent major renovations. Nyack told us that they’ve doubled the size of the place, built a bar, and expanded the menu offerings. It’s been flying under the radar for the past two weeks in soft launch mode, but goes live tonight.

When first opened, Agiato offered a small menu of soups, salads, some small plates and a limited wine list. In its latest incarnation, the restaurant offers an extensive menu that includes pasta, seafood and meaty entrees. The bar features 13 taps, 100 bottles of beer, and a 64 bottle Cruvinet system. The newly upgraded Agiato is now open Tuesdays through Sundays, serving food and drink from 11 a.m. Brunch is also served Saturdays and Sundays starting at 11 a.m. Check out the menu here.
