For a guy who’s supposedly giving up on Philly for a while, Stephen Starr sure has a lot of irons in the home fires. At the start of this year, the “King of Restaurants” hinted he was going to revive his dearly departed Blue Angel with Talula’s Table/Garden’s Aimee Olexy on board. Though there’s no signs of progress on that front, word came in June that Starr had his sights set on the property next to his Fishtown beer garden, Frankford Hall. Now Phillymag’s saying that the prolific restaurateur wants to give life to a cinema complex and restaurant concept, and hopes to put it somewhere in Center City.

Starr was once on board to handle the food part of a similar operation, a proposed Robert Redford’s Sundance Theater in West Philly, but that bellied up. In the article, he seems committed tot he project. He’s quoted saying, ““It’s not an easy thing, but somebody’s got to have the balls to do it.” And those balls appar to be in his court. [Phillymag]
