Here’s something you don’t hear much around here: Douglas Rodriguez, Godfather of Nuevo Latino cuisine as we know it here in the U.S., and Stephen Starr’s partner in Alma De Cuba, is coming to Philly for a one-night-only pop-up with Cuban chef Enrique Nuñez from Havana’s fabled Paladar La Guarida. The five course dinner goes down on Monday, August 13, and costs $80 per person ($115 with optional wine pairing). There’s also a $25 reception that runs from 6 to 7 p.m., and includes snacks, cocktails and conversations with the two chefs. The entire evening is going to be filmed for a forthcoming documentary about both chefs. Keep reading for a peek at the menu.
