Aye Carumba: LCB Recalls Tequila

Danger!
Danger!

That sensation of a mariachi band stomping its way through your cabeza that comes with a tequila hangover is a blissful, high-altitude stroll through the sun-drenched agave fields in Jalisco compared to a lacerated colon. And that’s exactly why the LCB has issued a recall on a handful of popular tequila brands today. Seems the glass stoppers that top the 1800 brand’s 1.75 liter bottles of Silver, Reposado, and Coconut tequilas are flawed, and may cause slivers of glass to collect in the precious booze, according to the Inky. Tequilla drinkers are urged to check the 13-digit lot code on recently purchased bottles against those posted on the company’s website. If indeed they match those recalled, they can be returned to any Fine Wine & Good Spirits store for a refund. [Inquirer]
