Typically made-up food holidays aren’t our bag. But free beer is. Always! That’s why we feel it’s important to highlight the fact that Yuengling’s fifth generation owner, Dick Yuengling, is buying this whole stinkin’ town a round tonight. He’s doing it for two reasons: For National Drink Beer Day (apparently it’s a thing); and to toast Philadelphia, and its unchecked thirst for beers made by the oldest — and now largest too — American owned brewery. More than 250 local bars are participating. Find one near you here, and get there before 6:30 p.m. to claim your free beer.
