Seafood Unlimited, a Rittenhouse mainstay since Nixon was still in office, closed up shop this summer. But the good news is, it’s back open. And not only that, it underwent major renovations while on hiatus this summer. A rep for the restaurant told Grub this morning that owners David and Judi Einhorn gave into customer demand, and expanded the bar, adding twice as many seats. While at that, they blew out the dining room so it can also accommodate more guests. As you might expect, with the renovations comes changes to the menu. While its fabled clam chowder and other classics will remain, new dishes like mini lobster rolls, fish tacos and a smoked salmon burger are being added. The beverage program was also updated with the addition of a new eight tap draft system.
