Unfazed by the recent Duzio’s Scar rebranding misfire outside of the Comcast Center at what was once called the Plaza Cafe, Chris Scarduzio is plowing forward with more updates at his restaurant inside the cable cathedral, Table 31. Things there are being “refreshed” so they are better “aligned with the desires of today’s diner,” according to the prepared statement. On the surface, the new menu looks a lot like the old one — steaks, chops, pasta, pizza, etc., etc. But this time the plates, which are supposedly time-honored Scarduzio family recipes, are being treated with a lighter touch, and the portion sizes trimmed. Check out the changes straight ahead.

Highlights of the new menu include:

DeBragga Steaks - Table 31 is the first Philadelphia restaurant to carry the finest quality steaks from New York City’s top butcher. On the menu are the “Table 31” Filet Mignon (6 oz, 8 oz, 10 oz), 14 oz. Prime Dry

Aged New York Strip Steak, House Rubbed 14 oz. Center Cut Delmonico

Steak and Prime Dry Aged 8 oz. Top Sirloin.

Grandmom’s Meatballs - A treasured family recipe that’s been passed down over time! Guests can enjoy with a sausage sugo, red sauce or a side of fresh herbed ricotta.

House-made Pastas - From gnocchi to cavatelli, agnolotti to garganelli,

Table 31’s pastas are made on-site daily and paired with the freshest ingredients for optimal flavor. Pasta dishes can be ordered in two sizes, depending upon the guests desired portion.

Thursday - Slow Roasted Prime Rib of Beef Au Jus
