TMZ reports that James Beach, the Venice cougar den owned by the same group behind Danny’s and Canal Club, is being sued for $25,000 by actor Andrew Keegan, who might just be jealous the restaurant’s fish tacos got a role in I Love You Man and not him. Known for sporadic work following a recurring part in 7th Heaven and a central role in 10 Things I Hate About You, Keegan claims he was unjustly pummeled by bouncers at the bar and put in a choke-hold, suffering serious injuries as a result back in 2010.
The suit was filed against the restaurant and the security company it used at the time, with allegations that the attack was completely unprovoked, and in no way from a rage induced by the repeated incantations: “but my friends are inside” or “don’t you know who I am?” [TMZ]
