Chris Painter Introduces Tasting Menus at Il Pittore

Chris Painter, the Pittore and chef behind Stephen Starr’s Il Pittore, is rolling out a tasting menu option with tonight’s service. Going forward the menu, a six-course dinner, will change as different ingredients come in and out of season. Following tonight’s launch, which will feature dishes like chestnut soup with pancetta crisp and rosemary lardo oil, a truffle Tajarin and duck ragout, and the amazing-sounding 48-hour-braised beef cheek with foie gras, the menu will be available every night for $100 per person. It should be noted that Painter and the restaurant’s staff request that the entire table participate. Keep reading to see the full menu.
