The Future Bars team of Brian Sheehy and Doug Dalton, who opened up two, very big new bars this year — Local Edition (Market and Third), and Tradition (441 Jones Street) — and who already own three and a half others (Bourbon & Branch, Rickhouse, Swig, and the bar-within-a-bar Wilson & Wilson), have a seventh possible project up their sleeve. The Business Times reports today that they’re among the high-profile tenants looking into the ground-floor spaces at the Market Square Building at Tenth and Market, which is home to Twitter’s new headquarters.

As it happens, they have a liquor license outstanding for the now shuttered Anu (Sixth Street near Market) which is about to expire, and they have their eyes on “a couple of 3,000- to 4,000-square-foot spaces” at the 1355 Market Street building, one of which might be just right for them. Sheehy confirmed for the Scoop that they believe there probably is demand from Twitter employees and all the new workers in the area for a decent cocktail bar (besides Zuni), and they’ve got until June to make it happen, since that’s when the Anu license will expire. The name and concept, obviously, are still TBD.

Also, Future Bars is now topping $7 million in annual sales, because as we all know, this is a town that likes to drink.

The other project they’re currently working on? A second outpost of their high-end liquor store Cask, in the East Bay, which will be in either Oakland or Berkeley.
