Everyone has at least one of those friends who get all self-righteous about only having people they actually consider “real friends” on their Facebook network. Fine, let them pay for lunch then, as The Melt is offering a free meal this Saturday to anyone who befriends the San Francisco import through the social networking site. The Melt, which sells grilled cheese sandwiches and soups engineered with the help of Michael Mina, makes its Hollywood and Downtown debut this weekend at Sunset and Vine. Visit the chain’s Facebook page for the password—which is already up and rhymes with “free”—endowing you with a free soup and sandwich lunch combo at either location.
