In sad news, Italian-Argentine BYOB 943 closed last week. After opening in February 2011, the Italian Market restaurant won over critics with its fried egg-adorned papas fritas, house-made ravioli, its beefy mixed grill for two, and housemade sausages and charcuterie. A sign posted in the window says that the space is currently available for rent. Owner Chef Pascual “Pat” Cancelliere, shut down back in July while recovering from heart surgery. Insider reports that he plans to take a break, and then begin looking for work elsewhere. [Insider]
