Sadly, that tiny stretch of Drury Street that separates the front of McGillin’s Olde Ale House and the back of garage door-appointed Bru Craft & Wurst didn’t devolve into a green beer-soaked reenactment of Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome on Saint Patricks Day as we had predicted. Still, the good news is, the new indoor beer garden from Finn McCool’s owner Teddy Sourias did soft open, complete with iPads, its gaggle of big-screen TVs, and self-serve beer, without incident. Even better news, it opens for reals on Saturday. Insider reports the bar, which fronts Chestnut Street, will have 32 taps at the bar, plus a six-tap pour-it-yourself system, a walk-up counter, and bench seating in the back. The menu will have small plates and bar food, as well as sandwiches, a daily wurst selection, and more ambitious larger plates. [Insider; Earlier]
