Alright, the Vernal Equinox has come and gone, baseball season has begun, and green things are sprouting out of the cold, dead ground all over town. What else is there to convince us that in spite of chilly temps the spring season is upon us? For starters, Yards Brewing Co. started rolling its seasonal sipper, the Belgian farmhouse-inspired Saison, off the bottling line yesterday, and it’s already on the way to bars and beer stores everywhere. Now we have word that Marc Vetri’s Alla Spina is gearing up to celebrate its second annual “Saisonale” next week. To mark the return of warmer weather and longer days, the barkeeps there are swapping out more than half of their 20 draft lines for spring-y farmhouse ales from breweries both near and far. The brews will remain on tap from April 8 through 14. Keep reading to see the first round of ales going on.
