Thanks in part to the city and its tendency to be so last minute with signing off on health inspections, word came late Friday that Pete Angevine, Martin Brown, and Jeffrey Ziga, the brains behind Frankford Ave.’s Little Baby’s Ice Cream, were opening their second location near Cedar park in West Philly on Saturday. The new shop serves the same small batch ice creams and vegan-friendly, non-dairy alternatives as the Kensington mothership, but brings it to a whole new audience with its digs near the bustling intersection near Baltimore Avenue, Catherine and 49th streets, which puts in close proximity to Dock Street Brewing Company, Mariposa Food Co-op’s new location, and Danger Danger Gallery among other neighborhood destinations. It’s open from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays; 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Fridays; noon to 11 p.m. Saturdays; and noon to 10 p.m. Sundays.
