For the first time ever, the Office of Disease Prevention and Health Promotion (America’s top nutrition panel) included coffee in its food-safety review. The news is pretty much the best possible: It’s not just fine to drink three to five cups per day — it’s actually super-healthy. There are many benefits to be gained from guzzling that much coffee, like reducing the risks of cardiovascular disease and type 2 diabetes.

People are thrilled, of course: Outlets like The Daily Mail, Bloomberg, and NPR all hopped on the bandwagon. Everyone can now unite against smug tea drinkers.

Also: Does this mean Stumptown’s brand-new chocolate cold brew is nutritious? That’s how dietary recommendations work, right?
